The rain was horrific torrential rain from start to finish. The first lap was the worst I've ever raced in, at one point I couldn't even see the rider ahead just but just the spray from them whilst descending down the valley. Scary stuff. Afterwards, I learned that riders pulled themselves from the race saying "it was too dangerous" . Hit a pot hole on the descent about 50km into the race, stayed upright but annoying I damaged my wheel and had to withdraw. Got wet for nothing :(
